Czech Glass / 1945–1980 - Design in an Age of Adversity and Illusion

15.08.07 09:49

This unique exhibition held in the National Galery - Veletrzni Palac, Prague presents almost 400 works by prominent artists documenting a revolutionary period during which art glass was gradually being changed from its decorative functions. At this exhibition for the first time, glass objects are displayed together with their preparatory drawings and designs. A large part of the exhibition is composed of the as yet unpublished glass collection of the Liechtenstein-based Steinberg Foundation.
For the exhibition an extensive English catalogue has been published as well.
The entrance fee is 100 CZK (reduced 50 CZK) and the exhibition is held in the eastern wing of the Palace, on the first floor.
