NATIONALGALERIE IN PRAG

Prague's largest art museum whose purpose is to acquire, collect, preserve and present the works of art and sculpture and make sure they are protected, documented and catalogued.

  • Opening hours: all permanent National Gallery exhibitions are open daily except mondays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Entrance: Collection of old arts (entrance valid for 2 days): full 240,-CZK, discounted 120,-CZK
  • Gift ticket: a ticket to all national Gallery exhibitions in Prague. Ticket valid year-round. Ticket for two: 1200,-CZK, ticket for one: 750,-CZK. Ticket is valid one year. An ideal gift for art lovers.

  • Exhibition: Ground floor: 1st part of the Japanese Art exhibition, refectory, box office and art store.

  • Exhibition:After Velvet, which was open on November 17th, 2009, exactly 20 years after the Velvet Revolution. The post-November retrospective features the work of several generations of Czech artists from 1989 to the present.

VILLA BILEK

  • Ausstellung: Frantisek Bilek Zeichnungen von 1892 bis 1900. Die Dauerausstellung des führenden Jugendstil-Künstlers wurde dieses Jahr ausgedehnt und umfasst auch Bilek früzeichnungen. In den Zeichnungen von 1892 - 1900 Bilek sah für eine angemessene skulpturalen Ausdruck für seine Meditationen über Jesus Christus. Er produzierte eine große Anzahl von Studien und vorbereitende Skizzen, die in seiner Statue "Gekreuzigte" (1899)fuhren. Heite befindet sich die Statue in St. Veitsdom auf der Prager Burg.
